Your chats stay in ChatGPT.

Marble Dashboard is a plugin built on OpenAI’s plugin platform. You install it, sign in, and talk to it inside ChatGPT. Marble only gets what it needs to build your board, and nothing else.

How Marble runs in ChatGPT

Marble Dashboard is a ChatGPT plugin made by Marble (“Marble,” “we,” “us”). It uses OpenAI’s plugin extensions, the same platform behind plugins from Canva, Figma, and Adobe. Our board opens in ChatGPT’s sidebar and inside your conversations.

When you ask Marble for something, ChatGPT calls Marble’s server with that one request. We fetch what you asked for and send the results back, and ChatGPT shows them on your board. ChatGPT is still the app you’re using the whole time.

Marble is an independent developer. We are not part of OpenAI, and OpenAI doesn’t endorse us.

What stays with OpenAI

Your ChatGPT account is between you and OpenAI. That covers:

  • Your conversations, including the parts that mention Marble
  • ChatGPT memory, custom instructions, and files you upload
  • Your ChatGPT login, plan, and payment details
  • Other plugins and apps you’ve connected

OpenAI handles all of this under the OpenAI Privacy Policy. OpenAI’s plugin guidelines also forbid plugins from asking for your full chat history, past messages, or “just in case” data, and they require a policy like this one before a plugin can be listed.

What Marble collects

Here’s everything Marble’s server receives or stores, why we need it, and how long we keep it.

WhatWhyHow long
What you ask Marble for“Watch Reddit for our Halden grinder”To build the widget and keep refreshing itUntil you delete the widget
Your boardWidget titles, pages, layout, colorsTo show you the same board every time you open itUntil you delete it or remove Marble
Widget resultsPosts, headlines, prices, sales totalsTo display and update your widgets, and to draw trend linesWhile the widget exists
Account identifierAn ID that ChatGPT sends with each requestTo keep your board yours and nobody else’sUntil you ask us to delete your data
Connected-account accessRead access to a store you connect, like ShopifyTo fetch only the numbers your widgets showUntil you disconnect that account
Service logsErrors, timing, which tool ranTo fix bugs and stop abuse. Personal details are removed firstUp to 30 days

Most widgets use public sources like Reddit, Hacker News, news sites, and web search. They only need the words you’re tracking. Your private data is only involved if you connect an account, and you approve that on the service’s own sign-in screen. We never see the password.

What we never do

  • Sell your data, or share it with advertisers.
  • Ask ChatGPT for your conversation history, memory, or past messages.
  • See your ChatGPT password, payment details, or what other apps you use.
  • Train AI models on your data, or let our providers train on it.
  • Collect sensitive data like health, financial account, or government ID numbers.

Who else sees it

We share data only with the services we need to run Marble, and each one gets only what its job needs:

  • OpenAI, which receives widget results so ChatGPT can show them to you.
  • Hosting and database providers that run our servers and store your board.
  • AI model providers that help us summarize and sort results. Their terms don’t allow them to train on what we send.
  • Services you connect, which get the request for the data your widget shows.

If Marble is ever sold or merged, this policy still covers your data, and we’ll tell you before anything changes.

Your controls

  • Delete a widget. This removes its settings and saved results.
  • Disconnect an account. You can do this at any time, and we delete its access right away.
  • Remove Marble from ChatGPT. Use ChatGPT’s settings. After that, Marble gets no more requests from your account.
  • Delete everything. Email support@withmarble.ai and we’ll erase your board and data within 30 days.
  • Get a copy. You can also ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it.

Depending on where you live, laws like the GDPR or CCPA may give you more rights, such as complaining to a data protection authority. Your ChatGPT data has its own controls, which OpenAI’s privacy policy describes.

Security

Marble’s board runs in a sandbox that ChatGPT creates, with a strict list of the sites it’s allowed to reach. It can’t read the rest of your ChatGPT page. We follow OpenAI’s security guidance: we ask for as little access as possible, encrypt data in transit, check every request on our server, and remove personal details before anything goes into a log.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your data, we’ll tell you as the law requires.

Reviewed by OpenAI

Every public ChatGPT plugin goes through OpenAI’s review before it’s listed. The developer has to verify their identity and publish a privacy policy. OpenAI tests that the plugin does what it says. A tool can also be rejected if it returns personal data the developer hasn’t disclosed.

The review keeps going after launch. OpenAI regularly rechecks our tools, and a changed tool has to pass checks before you get the new version. If something seems wrong, you can report Marble to OpenAI from inside ChatGPT, or tell us directly.

This website

This policy also covers marbleos.com/chatgpt. If you join the waitlist, we store your email so we can tell you when Marble launches. We also use product analytics (PostHog) to count visits and sign-ups, and our host (Vercel) keeps standard request logs. We don’t use cross-site ad trackers. You can unsubscribe from any email we send.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top. We’ll also tell you in ChatGPT or by email when it’s appropriate.
